I worked on this project as a subcontractor to Balance Interactive. I created DotNetNuke (DNN) skins for this site based on templates created by the company's web designer. Multiple skins were created for different pages on the site and included a dynamic header image that could be set by the site administator. I also created a custom "What's New" module which pulls the most recent entries from a DNN Announcements module and displays them as a slidehow on the homepage. I used jQuery to added GoogleAnalytics event tracking to dynamic content on the site. My tasks also included general DNN consulting and site maintenance.

International Sign Association
I worked on this project as a subcontractor to Balance Interactive. I created DotNetNuke (DNN) skins for this site based on templates created by the company's web designer. Each year, ISA holds a sign design competition which allows people to submit nominees to the website. I customized the DNN Repository module to accept image uploads, a description, and voting. A results page, viewable only to site administrators, was designed to display the current competition standings. At the end of the competition the administrator is able to disable the upload and voting features via the backend control panel. My tasks also included general DNN consulting and site maintenance.

Greater Washington Board of Trade
I worked on this project as a subcontractor to Balance Interactive. I created DotNetNuke (DNN) skins for this site based on templates created by the company's web designer. The skins used a custom module I developed that displays a header image based on the current section of the website. The client required a simple way to manage and display press releases, events, and member events so I chose to customize the existing DNN Announcements module. This allowed me to meet the client’s requirements quickly and inexpensively. I built a custom module with an interactive map that allows users to find out about flights to and from the Greater Washington area. My tasks also included general DNN consulting, site maintenance, and an upgrade from an old version of DNN4 to DNN5. Bi-monthly reports were generated showing any security issues with installed modules.

Greater Washington Initiative
I worked on this project as a subcontractor to Balance Interactive. I created DotNetNuke (DNN) skins for this site based on templates created by the company's web designer. My tasks also included general DNN consulting and site maintenance. I developed a custom module for managing uploaded images in the media section of the site. The module manages the creation of thumbnails when new images are added, and creates a paginated view of all images. Regional data is one of the biggest products of the GWI, and simplifying the viewing and management of this data was a priority. Simple spreadsheet data is displayed using the DNN Reports module with a custom module container. Data with further details is displayed using a custom module that allows the site administrator to upload data and images easily via the website backend. My tasks also included general DNN consulting and site maintenance. I also customized the built-in DNN search to better display results for the client.

SignExpo 2010
I worked on this project as a subcontractor to Balance Interactive. I created DotNetNuke (DNN) skins for this site based on templates created by the company's web designer. The skins were applied to the existing SignExpo 2009 site with minimal changes to the overall site structure. The built-in DNN menu system could not meet the client's requirements, so I had to develop a custom side-menu control for the site. Minor customizations were also required to several of the include DNN controls. The client also required the site allow exhibitors to request changes to the basic booth layout. This was done using another custom DNN module developed specifically for the site, which allows users to upload images and descriptions of their booth. Site administrors then had the ability to approve or deny the changes. The module also include the ability to export a single package which included a spreadsheet of requests as well as all supporting documents. My tasks also included general DNN consulting and site maintenance.

ACEEE State Energy Policy Database
I worked on this project as a subcontractor to Balance Interactive. A state energy policy database was developed using a custom content type with a mix of views and PHP scripting. The database allows a user to select energy polices by state using an interactive map or by policy type. More detailed information is pulled from the database and displayed on the site, based on the user's selection.

I have expanded the existing user management backend to include user and email validation. New users now receive an email when signing up for the site which includes a link that will verify them in the database. As part of this I have also created a "forgot my password" feature that allows users to reset their password. I also provide on-going software development support and technical advice to this client.
